Motherhood Sessions during the school holidays

Mother and daughter all loved up

The school holidays always seem to arrive quicker than I expect. One moment you’re packing lunchboxes and rushing out the door for drop-off, and the next minute the house is full again. Days stretch out differently during the holidays. Slower mornings. Busy afternoons. Siblings together. The noise, the mess, the love all wrapped up in two weeks of chaos and connection.

That’s why the school holidays are one of my favourite times to photograph motherhood sessions. There’s no need to rush off anywhere. Everyone’s home. And what better way to spend an hour or two than slowing down to capture the season of life you’re in right now? Before your preppy turns into a big grade 6 kid! Or that grade 6 kids heads off to HIGHSCHOOL!

A motherhood session isn’t about perfect outfits or posing for the camera. It’s about the in-between moments - cuddling on the couch, hands reaching for yours, the way your children climb all over you like you’re their safe place (because you are). It’s about seeing you in the frame, not just as the one always behind the camera.

These sessions are gentle, natural, and relaxed. We’ll photograph you as you are: your laugh, your touch, your kids’ personalities shining through. One day, your children will look back and see what their childhood felt like. They’ll see how loved they were, right there in their mother’s arms.

If the thought of the holidays being over in a blur makes your heart ache a little, this is the perfect time to press pause. A motherhood session will give you something you can hold onto long after the toys are packed away and the kids are back at school.

I’ve opened up a handful of sessions just for the school holidays. If you’d love to capture your motherhood story during this season, reach out to book your spot.

A mothers love
